1. Adventure Sports:
Whether you are an adrenaline junkie or not don’t miss a chance to enjoy the various adventure sports that you can find in Nepal. Be it bungee, swinging, white water rafting, kayaking, rock climbing or Paragliding there’s something for everyone, choose the ones that suit you or even better try them all.
2. Try the local food:

3. Visit the Heritage Sites:
Visit the Durbar squares in Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur for cultural and architectural experience. These places are full of wood and stone carvings of hundreds of deities, which will tell you a lot about Nepal’s history. Also, make sure you visit the Swayambhunath and Bouddhanath stupas and experience the utter bliss these places offer. With the colorful prayer flags fluttering in the wind and the Tibetan music playing in the background it’s a must go if you are looking for a little bit of peace.
4. Shopping for handicrafts:
Go around the streets of Thamel, Bhaktapur and Patan to find beautiful hand made products. There are a wide variety of products that you can find ranging from handmade clothes, Pashmina shawls, silver jewelry, paintings, decorative pieces like masks, statues and so much more. Nepal is proud of its handicrafts and it will be just the right thing to take back as souvenirs.
5. Night life in Thamel:
Thamel is the center of the tourist industry in Kathmandu and also the best place to relax after a day of all the travelling and sightseeing. There are a large number of bars, pubs and clubs to choose from. Whether you like dancing, or enjoying some live music, or a quiet and cozy bar to enjoy your drink for the night, you can find it all in Thamel.
6. Jatras:
Try to find out if there are any Jatras (Newari Street Festivals) going on when you are in Kathmandu. If there is then please make sure you go to one of them. It’s the best way to see the Newari culture up close, with people dancing and singing on beats of traditional musical instruments and people dressed in colorful costumes it’s an awesome experience on its own.
7. Roaming around the Gallis of Patan and Bhaktapur:
Going around the gallis (narrow street ways) Patan and Bhaktapur will give you the perfect idea of the old Newari architecture. It’s easy to get lost in these places, but we’re sure you wouldn’t mind that because there is always so much to see and so much you can find out about. The beautiful courtyards, the carved windows, those small wooden doors, these small narrow pathways will show you a whole new aspect of Kathmandu.
8. Pokhara:
Pokhara, the gateway to the mountains is situated around 147kms from the capital city Kathmandu. It is a beautiful city famous for its lakes. You cannot go wrong in Pokhara, it is the perfect place for a holiday. Be it an adventure holiday with activities like hiking, Paragliding, bungee, etc. or a lazy one where you just want to loiter around the city with sightseeing, boating, enjoying a drink in one of those perfect lakeside restaurants it is the place you wouldn’t want to miss when you are in Nepal.
9. Go for a trek:
If you are visiting Nepal then you are probably here to do a trek to one of its glorious trekking destinations. If not, then you should! With so many options to choose from, you can find the perfect location and route for yourself. Take a chance to see the beautiful nature of the country up close and personal. Not that much of a trekker then don’t worry, there are so many close hiking destinations around the cities which will give you just as much of the nature and just as much of the view.
10. Wildlife in Chitwan:
Go to Chitwan for an extraordinary wildlife experience. With its name enlisted in the Natural World Heritage Site, Chitwan has one of the best habitats for various kinds of animals, birds and plants. You can find so many activities like elephant jungle safari or a jeep safari or canoeing that will help you explore nature at its best.
