25 July 2016, POKHARA: A Romanian trekker who had gone missing for over one week in the Annapurna region was found dead in Shine of Ghandruk VDC-1, on Sunday.

Body of the Romanian adventurer, Popescu Adina Monica (26), was discovered on the bank of the Shivay River of Kaski district at about 6 pm, informed DSP Gaju Sidhhi Bajracharya of the Kaski District Police Office.

A team of police deployed from the DPO has arrived at the site where the body was found. The team with the help of locals is investigating into the case, added DSP Bajracharya.

The Romanian woman was last seen in Chomrung of the district on on July 14.

She had arrived Nepal on July 11 on a week-long trek and was scheduled to arrive in Bucharest, the Romanian capital, on July 18.
